Overview

Cyber security specialists, SEP2 is an organisation providing advanced cyber security services solutions and tech-driven services powered by passionate and honest people. Originally founded in Leeds, we are looking to expand our headcount in our central London offices.

As part of our dedication to growing and developing our staff, we are now looking for 4x Business Development Apprentices to come on board and join us for a Level 3 IT Technical Sales apprenticeship.

Based from our London office close to London Bridge train station, you’ll be learning everything there is to know about technical sales practices from our skilled and experienced team whilst being supported to gain qualifications and skills that will set you up for your career.

As a Business Development Apprentice, you’ll primarily be bringing new customers on board. This means you’ll be getting in contact with potential organisations who could benefit from our solutions and services, striking up conversations and positioning us as the industry experts and technical authority in our market.

Using telephone, email, corporate events and social media, you’ll contact potential customers, develop an understanding of their requirements and convey the value of our services as well as our company.

You’ll be working as part of the SEP2 Sales team alongside other apprentices learning best practice and how to make that everlasting first impression.

From the outset, you’ll have the chance to take responsibility for your own projects meaning this is an excellent opportunity for ambitious aspiring sales professionals to take charge and make your mark.

Other duties will include

- Updating the CRM

- Reporting figures and stats weekly

- Growing your network via social media and corporate events

- Qualifying prospects through consultative questioning and the understanding of our products

 


Entry requirements

-C or above in GCSE Maths and English is essential

- Self-motivation, enthusiasm and drive to succeed

-Thick skinned, willingness to dial the phone and book meetings

- Money-motivated and target-driven individuals are encouraged to apply

- Strong English verbal and written skills

- Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills

Training to be provided

You will undertake the innovative and industry led Apprentify IT Technical Salesperson Level 3 apprenticeship.

We have designed our programme to offer you distinct routes to focus your career path and specialise in areas such as social selling or account management. These paths are designed to jump start your career and make you stand out in a competitive field increasing your future earning potential.

During the 15 months of training you will learn cutting edge theory and industry practice across eight units:

The Sales Lifecycle: you will learn about the sales environment, basic sales and marketing theory and how to manage customers through the sales lifecycle.

Computer Systems and Sales: you will understand how different IT systems benefit an organisations efficiency and improve sales as well as their core unique selling points.

The Sales Process: You will begin to master objection handling and closing sales as well as how to negotiate with prospects to achieve better results.

Product Project: you will learn to analyse your market in detail and propose opportunities for new business for your organisation that are suitable for your product line.

Sales Ethics and Legalities: you will gain an appreciation of legislation that affects sales and how to sell your products and services in an ethical manner.

System Security: you will learn about how IT systems keep customer data secure and the principles of secure coding.

Account Management: You will develop your skills in customer communication to win repeat business with your prospects and learn the importance of cultivating long term relationships.

The Cloud and Unified Comms: you will learn about how organisations utilise cutting edge tech to streamline processes and protect from cyber attacks.

In addition to all the above, all of our applicants will go through our Assessment Centre. This exclusive session is designed to identify your sales strengths and weaknesses to help us match you with the perfect employer and the perfect role to start your career in the best way!
