Digital marketing apprenticeships: Giving you the edge by ‘walking the walk’

I’ve yet to meet an organisation that doesn’t want to increase its online profile. Being able to market our products or services is no longer what sets you apart…it’s the base-line. This is because digital marketing is an effective way to increase leads, conversion rates and retention.

Companies have a number of ways to do increase their digital marketing efforts.

They could use an eternal digital agency, which works well but can be expensive.

They could employ an experienced marketer, which can sometimes mean employing someone with ‘old habits’. This can also be quite an expensive route.

Many employs these days chose a digital marketing apprentice, either to complement these approaches, or instead of them. Due to government funding this can be a cost-effective way of adding fresh talent to the team. Talent that can be moulded to fit your ethos.

Crucially, a marketing apprentice doesn’t just mean have to prove they have learned the complex theory behind digital marketing techniques. They also have to prove competency and behaviour.

This means delivering actual tactical marketing campaigns for their employer. It also means ensuring they are adopting the attitudes and approaches that you demand.

So, imagine having that new team member, hungry to apply themselves, working towards your social media, content, email marketing and advertising goals. Imagine them reporting back to you on the efficacy of a recent campaign, and recommending how the next one could be even better.

They aren’t employed just to talk the talk. It’s our job to make sure they walk the walk.
