Success Story
Hayley Fearnley
I joined Apprentify to study their Digital Marketing apprenticeship and ever since, I have not stopped recommending them to others! I had Sharon as my development coach and couldn't have asked for a more supportive and motivating coach. Without her guidance, I'm not sure I would've got the distinction grade that I did! I'm now in a social media role with a company that I absolutely adore and couldn't have done it without Apprentify. I never thought I'd be able to do an apprenticeship as a 26 year old but Apprentify have given me the skills and experience I was lacking and have given me a new career path.

Currently 2 months into my IT Technical Sales Apprenticeship and thoroughly enjoying it so far. Dale, my Development Coach has been really supportive and an awesome Teacher - I already feel like i've learnt so much and i've still got another 13 months of my Apprenticeship to go - I can't wait to see what it brings. Apprentify's team have been really attentive - in particular, Sammie and Lucy, they call me often for check ups and it's clear to see their support is there and easy to access if I needed it!

HUGE thanks to the team at Apprentify, particularly Sharon, who helped our company's first apprentice to achieve a distinction in his Digital Marketing Apprenticeship. We are extremely grateful for the exceptional support we have received throughout the duration of this course.

How can Apprentify help start your career

At Apprentify, we pride ourselves on our unique apprentice journey. We will support you throughout the whole process; from application all the way to the End Point Assessment process.

  1. Getting in touch

Possibly the most important step of the whole process is reaching out to one of us. You can do this by applying to one of our open roles or you can send your CV for us to assess. Kick-start your career with Apprentify! Send in your information and we’ll get in touch.

  2. Attend an assessment centre

Now that you have made the decision of contacting us, it is time for you to attend one of our group assessment sessions. These sessions will give you the opportunity to meet some of the Apprentify family, learn more about the apprenticeship you have applied for, as well as test some of your digital skills (such as blog-writing).

  3. Find a role

After your assessment sessions, our team is usually working hard to match your CV with an employer that suits you best. Once we’ve matched you with an employer, you will be directed to participate in an interview with the business. This is their chance to meet you on a personal level and discover more about you - and possibly complete an individual task.

  4. Start your career

Hurray! You have successfully been offered (and accepted) a new role; now it is time to begin your professional career and embark on your apprenticeship journey!

What are the costs of taking on an apprentice?

All apprenticeship programmes have their funding decided by the ESFA. Levy employers will have the cost deducted from their levy account. Non-levy employers will have 95% of the costs to be paid by the government, with you supplying the extra 5% as a co-investment fee. If your apprentice is between 16-18, there is no co-investment fee (100% funded).

Obviously, there is also the cost of the employee. Typically, we will not work with anyone paying under £14,000 annually.

How much do I have to pay an apprentice?

Typically, we do not work with anyone who pays under £14,000 a year. For reference, you can always look at our live Vacancies page to see what other employers are offering.

Does my apprentice have to be 16-18?

No, an apprentice can be any age nowadays as long as they are over 16. We work with apprentices who have just left school, all the way to those in their late twenties with work experience - Equally, we have a number of university graduates on the programme and even those older who are looking for a career change. Our candidates are all different ages with a wealth of different experiences.

Are they employed by my business?

Yes they are - they are on our apprenticeship training programme, but they are like any other employee with a work contract, and pension. In this respect, they are like any other employee.
