Our vision is to achieve the most effective approach to testing software and instilling quality into our tech stack in an agile environment. You will be working under supervision and alongside the engineering team to help design and develop test cases and execute these cases manually and ideally using automation.

We are looking for an Apprentice Test Engineer who is ambitious and motivated to learn and implement ideas in all aspects of testing in an agile environment, to join our team.


Entry requirements

As an Apprentice Test Engineer, you will be expected to learn and extend certain skills to successfully fulfil the role. These include:

  • Agile Methodologies and an understanding of the key principles to develop modern standards approach to testing.
  • Experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery - Methodology and tools. (i.e., GIT, Azure DevOps).
  • API cloud-based REST and XML services.

Training to be provided

You will be part of a small but experienced team who with a goal to expand team meaning there is scope to influence, bring new ideas and have a real impact. You will need to be; passionate about what you do, have an eye for detail and be a self-starter that can take responsibility. We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and the web, someone who enjoys working with the latest designs and technologies along with a foundation in and respect for stable and mature technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, Regression and User Interface)
  • Design and develop automation scripts when needed
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
  • Provide timely solutions
  • Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle
  • Provide support and documentation
