Overview
Apprentify are hiring on behalf of our client for a Data & Reporting Apprentice to join their Facilities team and enrol on our Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship programme. The Data & Reporting apprentice is a newly created role within the facilities department at the company, and is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong interest and skillset in data and reporting.
This new role will contribute significantly to the facilities function from a data perspective, providing assistance to the team across both day-to-day operations and larger-scale projects. There will be enormous scope and opportunity for learning and development across a wide variety of areas, with full support and time dedicated to studying for the Data Technician Level 3 apprenticeship programme.
The role is primarily based in our London office, but occasional travel to other UK offices will be required.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Assisting with designing, developing, and modifying data processes to aid data analysis and reporting.
- Producing presentations, manuscripts, graphs.
- Documenting “standards of operation” when handling and archiving data.
- Maintaining data management plans and processes for operating complex business systems.
- Monitoring system performance and reporting issues when appropriate.
- Creating regular reports from a range of internal systems, including (but not limited to); Project Works (fit outs, moves), ServiceNOW, Security Access, Desk and office utilisation, Locker usage, ESG activity (including ESOS submissions)
- Assisting with the creation and management of robust and relevant financial information, including (but not limited to); Annual budgeting sessions, Project Works (fit outs, moves), ongoing monitoring and reporting, assisting with Value Engineering assessments within projects.
- Ensuring relevant and robust safeguarding controls are in place to protect data and adhere to relevant regulations.
- Using a range of systems to assist team with a variety of facilities functions

- Basic knowledge of MS Word – creation of documents, tables & databases, MS Excel – creation of databases, reports, macros, pivot tables and commands and MS PowerPoint – creation of basic presentations, importing tables & reports from other areas
Entry requirements
- English and Maths qualifications at least equivalent to a 9-4 (A*-C) grade at GCSE
- Not currently enrolled in, or undertaking, any other public-funded programme - including Apprenticeships, Degrees, Master’s Degree or Traineeship
- Resided in the UK for the past 3 years
- Demonstrates pro-active nature, data focused, analytical thinker

Training to be provided
You will undertake the ground breaking Apprentify Data Technician Level 3 apprenticeship.
We have designed our programme to offer you a distinct route into your career path and specialise in sourcing, formatting, and presenting data securely in a relevant way for analysis using a variety of methods.
During the 13 months of training, you will learn cutting edge theory and industry practice across 10 carefully structured Modules covering the duties that are required as a Data Analyst:
- Source data from a collection of already identified trusted sources in a secure manner
- Collate and format data to facilitate processing and presentation for review and further advanced analysis by others
- Present data for review and analysis by others, using required medium for example tables, charts and graphs
- Blend data by combining data from various sources and formats to explore its relevance for the business needs
- Analyse simple and complex structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes using basic statistical methods to analyse the data.
- Validate results of analysis using various techniques, e.g cross checking, to identify faults in data results and to ensure data quality
- Communicate results verbally, through reports and technical documentation and tailoring the message for the audience
- Store, manage and share data securely in a compliant manner
- Collaborate with people both internally and externally at all levels with a view to creating value from data
- Practise continuous self learning to keep up to date with technological developments to enhance relevant skills and take responsibility for own professional development
