As a Sales Development Rep, you will focus on generating new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers. Your goal is to take these qualified leads and nurture them into the sales pipeline. You will work closely with the Head of Growth and CEO by handing over qualified leads for the team to close the deal. Your success will be measured by the number of sales-qualified leads that you collect each month.

Roles and Responsibilities of Sales Development Representative

  • Booking outbound meetings and arranging product demos to showcase our offering to potential customers through avenues such as cold calls, emails, social outreach, and networking
  • Generate new sales opportunities
  • Generating prospecting lists of decision-makers in target accounts.
  • Working towards and achieving KPI targets to ensure consistent performance
  • Delivering relevant marketing content to prospects
  • Using CRM, sales enablement tools, LinkedIn, and sales intelligence to improve the sales process
  • Collaborate with the wider sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales and targets and engaging with customers
  • Taking part in internal and external training to develop crucial skills such as customer experience, selling, and account management

  • Target Driven: Driven to hit your individual targets, whilst working with your colleagues to hit team and business targets
  • CRM Management - Knowledge of how to use CRM tools to keep track of customer data and automate tasks in order to work more efficiently
  • Active Listening - Crucial for understanding customer needs and building rapport
  • Communication - Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital for engaging with potential customers and your fellow sales team
  • Research Skills - Ability to conduct in-depth research on potential customers and the latest market trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Resilience - Comfortable with rejection and challenge. Resilience is a must to stay motivated.
  • Adaptability - Able to be flexible and adaptable to different customer needs and situations  
  • Empathy - Understanding and empathy towards customers’ needs in order to build strong relationships

Requirements: 

  • Full UK driving license (preferred)

  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - you must really enjoy engaging with others on a regular basis

Training to be provided

A Sales Executive is a sales person working in either the Business to Business or Business to Consumer markets with the responsibility to sell a specific product line or service. They plan their sales activities, lead the end-to-end sales interaction with the customer and manage their sales internally within their organisation. They will be responsible for retaining and growing a number of existing customer accounts, and generating new business by contacting prospective customers, qualifying opportunities and bringing the sales process to a mutually acceptable close.

A Sales Executive will develop customer relationships by establishing rapport and building trust and confidence in their own and their organisation’s capabilities through demonstration of detailed product knowledge, competitor knowledge and an understanding of the market in which they operate, and by ensuring a positive customer experience.

Uncapped commission structure. Mentoring and leadership from the business as well as apprentify. Opportunity to work in state of the art offices in Alderley Park. Roughly £10k OTE in your first year.
