Overview

Waizu is an exciting software business (SaaS) set up in 2020 specifically to provide a solution to lost and missing mobile devices used by retailers and supply chain companies. It is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Waizu has more than 20,000 licenses sold to over 70 enterprise customers such as Waterstones, Monsoon, Coop and Greencore.

Apprentify are hiring on behalf of our client.

Due to increases in customer deployments, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and growth-oriented technical software tester to help support the technical questions of our customers and to help with internal testing of new software launches.

This is a key role and requires a detailed understanding of our software and its capability to manage Android devices and track assets in and out of a business.

You will learn about mobile device management software (MDM / EMM), our internal applications and work with many technologies such as PDA’s, Tablet computers and IOT tags.

This role will quickly create the opportunity to become an expert in enterprise mobile technology management and gain insights into improving supply chain efficiency. There is a significant opportunity to progress and develop.

Organization skills will be required to manage support tickets and communicate directly with customers mainly on email.

Supporting the customer pre and post-sale is also a key part of this role as we learn from our customer deployments and iron out any issues through software testing and issue management.

Key platforms – Waizu, WizyEMM, Scalefusion, Freshdesk and Asana.


Entry requirements

Essential:

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C level or above.
  • A clear and evidencable interest in IT / Software industry and a passion for technology.
  • Well-organised, good team player, problem solving approach, great communicator and detail oriented.

Desirable:

  • GCSE Computer Science.
  • A relevant experience in an IT role.
  • Interest in how computers and software systems work.

Training to be provided

You will be enrolled onto Apprentify's groundbreaking L4 qualification 'Software Tester'.
