Overview

Apprentify are hiring on behalf of our client for a Sales Account Executive Apprentice to enrol on our level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship program. The client has 24 years’ experience in the automotive sector. Based in Stockport, Cheshire, they provide business and personal leasing along with Salary Sacrifice for employees and fleet management solutions.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Be the support contact for existing customers of Managing Director & Account Director across a range of vehicles, financial products and services
  • To fully understand and be able to explain clearly to customers all forms of finance offered by Vehicle Consulting Group and which funders offer them
  • Responsible for the qualification of customer enquiries, diligently completing know your customer to fully understand their requirements
  • To establish the benefits and challenges of each selected finance provider and provide detailed reasoning behind why you have selected this product
  • To have an acceptable level of knowledge of tax and how it affects the company and/or the individual
  • Solid product knowledge of electric vehicle and charging point technology and be able to effectively explain the benefits of electric when compared to fuel technology
  • Robust knowledge of our agreed third-party partners’ products & services and be able to confidently explain these to our customers
  • Conduct fact find with customers and where required speak to dealers to build and specification for customer quotes via our procurement function
  • To continue and strengthen existing customer relationships for MD & AD customers
  • To listen to clients’ needs and requirements, by qualifying a customer correctly, and report feedback to MD & AD
  • Ensuring the customer receives the products and services requested in a timely manner
  • Work with our Manufacturers & /Dealers to source stock vehicles for the customer via our fleet procurement system
  • Operate and understand our leasing company systems.  Obtain the best price for the customer by using these systems efficiently
  • Obtain a signed customer order form & obtain a fully completed customer finance proposal, incorporating all necessary data protection requirements
  • Advise the customer of the finance company’s decision.  Obtain additional information, where appropriate, from the customer and transfer this to the finance company
  • Understand and operate within the framework of the BVRLA (British Rental and Vehicle Leasing Association)
  • Work within the guidelines of the Financial Conduct Authority
  • Treat Customers fairly

  • Adherence to Individual Operating Plans for conversion & written volume
  • Accuracy of customer documentation within agreed tolerances
  • Customer complaints or FCA & BVRLA principal breaches
  • Adherence & utilisation of telephony, text & Omnia ways of working

Entry requirements

  • Grade C/level 4 in English and Maths GCSEs to be eligible for the apprenticeship
  • Proactive mindset, ability to work autonomously and at a fast pace
  • Ability to manage high volumes of activity whilst maintaining accuracy of work
  • Solid organisational skills, able to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Adaptable, willingness to learn new processes and tasks

Training to be provided

A Sales Executive is a sales person working in either the Business to Business or Business to Consumer markets with the responsibility to sell a specific product line or service. They plan their sales activities, lead the end-to-end sales interaction with the customer and manage their sales internally within their organisation. They will be responsible for retaining and growing a number of existing customer accounts, and generating new business by contacting prospective customers, qualifying opportunities and bringing the sales process to a mutually acceptable close.

A Sales Executive will develop customer relationships by establishing rapport and building trust and confidence in their own and their organisation’s capabilities through demonstration of detailed product knowledge, competitor knowledge and an understanding of the market in which they operate, and by ensuring a positive customer experience.
